Nimble Thimbles is an active guild that contributes much to our Golden Strip community.

The guild meets the second Monday of each month at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mauldin. Meetings begin at 7 p.m. and includes a business meeting, Show and Share, and a monthly program.
Visitors are always welcome, so bring a friend. There are lots of activities to become involved in. Just a few include: Secret Quiltier, Strip Swap, Memory Challenge, Block of the Month, and lots of workshops.
Workshop With Mary Kay Mouton
Our May speaker, Mary Kay Mouton, has agreed to teach a workshop on Saturday, May 19th. The workshop is at 10:00 am at Messiah Lutheran Church. The title is Flip-Flop Paper Piecing. The cost will be $25. Mary Kay stated that she can teach anyone, even a beginner. If you would like to sign up, contact Susan Perham.
Deepest Sympathy
We offer our deepest sympathy to Mary Isbell's family. Her passing is a great loss to us not only as a friend, but as a teacher. Mary Isabell was the founder of our guild, Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild. She was a great influence to our world of quilting. She impacted not only our Guild, but quilting throughout the State. She was also a founding member of Quilters of South Carolina.
A Personal Challenge
Kay Kirk has challenged Guild members, who knew Mary Isbell, in the Upstate to make a twin size quilt. It can be any pattern, any color to be donated to Hospice in Mary's memory.
She is planning to return to visit Guilds next year on the anniversary of Mary's death to collect the quilts. If you would like to participate or have any questions, contact Suzanne D.
Nominating Committee
Thanks to those who have volunteered for Board positions for next year. They are listed in the minutes. It is time for the rest of us to step up and volunteer for Committee positions.
Please think about serving our Guild in one of these committees. As the volunteers for the Nominating Committee call our members, PLEASE consider serving YOUR Guild.
If you would like to volunteer or have ideas,
