Our speaker for August was Karen Pharr from Tennessee. Mrs. Pharr was a teacher at Paducah this past spring and was also recently the head speaker for the Studio Art Quilt Association.

Mrs. Pharr led a workshop titled ―Opening Doorways‖ will be given on Tuesday, August 9 from 9:00 until 3:00 at Messiah Lutheran Church.

This workshop focused on the many different techniques used to create a wonderful little wall hanging. The techniques used were fused appliqués, couching, beading and many others.
